Placement Input Forms Due MARCH 29
Dear Tiger Families,
Our class placement process for the 2019-2020 school year will begin soon. Every year many questions are raised about placement and the need for input from parents. I understand that it is your desire for your child to be placed with the teacher who will match her/his needs perfectly.
I want you to know how seriously I take the placement process at Tritt. Our multi-step process is designed to give all the school personnel who have worked with a child input into their placement. We pay close attention to the students’ learning styles and strengths, academic performance and work/study habits. We also attempt to include an equal number of boys and girls in each class and make certain that the make-up of the students is as heterogeneous as possible.
We are proud of this well-planned process and the dedication of the staff to ensure that more than 900 students are carefully placed.
I welcome parental input into this process, but only to share additional student information of which we are unaware. I ask you to follow these guidelines:
Please do NOT include requests for specific teachers, as these requests will not be honored.
Input forms will be available for pick up in the front office. Only these forms will be accepted.
Individual conferences with administrators/counselors/teachers will not be conducted regarding placement for next year.
With or without a parent input form, each Tritt student will be placed with thoughtful care and consideration.
Due to the careful process that is outlined above, you can understand why all placement correspondence must be received no later than March 29. The optional input forms will be available in the front office for pick up. No other form or letter will be accepted.
