What a wonderful day of STEAM learning! Our students were engaged in projects that connected multiple areas of curriculum. Our kindergarteners researched and build models of habitats with living and non-living things. First and second grade are using drama standards, science of light, elements of stories, and art standards to design and perform a shadow-puppet play. Our third graders are working on designing a tiny school that fits the environment and uses the principles of opportunity costs in their budget. Fourth graders deepened their understanding of climate and weather while working on designing their own planets, and fifth graders are working on a kit that can be used by students in other schools can learn and construct cell models.
