Meet Penny Chasko

Mrs. Chasko is originally from Indiana and graduated from Arizona State University. She began her career working with infants and toddlers with disabilities and providing home-based support to children living in rural areas of Arizona. Mrs. Chasko has spent 23 years teaching special education in Arizona, Texas and Georgia. Mrs. Chasko has taught in the Cobb County School District for the past 10 years with the last 7 at Hightower Trail Middle School. Outside of the classroom, Mrs. Chasko is married with two children. She enjoys traveling, Disney and spending time with her family and friends! She is so excited to be part of the Tritt Family!

Meet and Greet!

It's Meet and Greet Eve! We have been busy cleaning, organizing, and planning for our #BestYearYet and now it is time to add our #1, essential ingredient: our families! Class lists will be posted on the covered play area at 3:00 today. One of my biggest pet peeves as a parent and even a patient in the Dr's office is having to handwrite and fill out forms over and over again. Together with Lynn Gilbert and our wonderful PTA, we have streamlined and organized this process for you. After all, tomorrow is called "Meet and Greet" not "Write and Complete Forms," right?! Meet Julie Huffman

Ms. Huffman is a native to Cobb County and a Sprayberry High School graduate. She started her career in general education but quickly learned that her passion was working with students with special needs. In addition to administration, she has worked as a teacher, school counselor and a behavior specialist. She will serve Tritt Elementary as the Support & Services Administrator. Ms. Huffman is a mom to a daughter, son in law and 3 fur babies. She loves working outside and college football. Go Owls! She is excited to work with the staff and families of Tritt Elementary School.

Meet Kara Hall

Kara Hall became a part of the Tritt family last year when her son, a rising 2nd grader and daughter, a rising 1st grader, became students. She immediately fell in love with Tritt and is so excited to now be a part of the staff as a paraprofessional in the SID/PID classroom. Kara was born in Portland, Oregon, however, considers Atlanta to be her hometown. When she was in middle school/high school her family lived in Sao Paolo, Brazil. She moved back to Atlanta her sophomore year and graduated from Marist School. She attended Auburn University and received a Bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a specialization in Child Life. She completed a Child Life Internship

Meet Tara Rich

Ms. Rich is so excited to join the Tiger Family! Ms. Rich is beginning her fifth year of teaching. She has taught both fourth and fifth grades. She is native to Cobb County, where she graduated from Kell High School in 2010. Ms. Rich graduated from Kennesaw State University with her Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education in 2014. She recently graduated with her Master’s degree in education from KSU. During her free time, Ms. Rich enjoys hiking local trails, kayaking the Chattahoochee River, and spending time with her friends and family.

Meet Michael Hogue

Mr. Hogue joins Tritt this year as a 3rd grade inclusion teacher. He is a Cobb County native and began his career with CCSD in 2016. Mr. Hogue is a graduate of the STEM Magnet Academy at Kennesaw Mountain High School and recently graduated from Georgia State University with a BSEd in Special Education. In addition to teaching at Tritt, Mr. Hogue is also serving as the Head Boys Lacrosse Coach at Sprayberry High School. He is very excited to be a Tritt Tiger!

Meet Mrs. Goh

Mrs. Goh received her B.A in Education from Malaya University and began her career in teaching 30 years ago when she taught Economics and Geography in high school. When her voice took a toll on her, she took a break from teaching and worked at a bank in the Quality Performance department. In the past 13 years, she had taught preschool, worked and had totally enjoyed her time as a para in the special needs classroom and is now into her second year as a teacher in a Mild Intellectual Disabilities (MID) classroom. She and her husband, Don have been happily married for 28 years and have three amazing boys, Shaun 24, Nicholas 21, Alden 17 and Ranger, an adorable Golden Retriever. Mrs. Goh enjoys

Meet Mrs. Martinez

Patricia Martinez joins the Tritt team as a full time MID paraprofessional. Mrs. Martinez grew up in Coral Springs, Florida. She earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in molecular biology and microbiology from the University of Central Florida. Mrs. Martinez moved closer to home in south Florida where she taught Biology and Biotechnology. She married her college sweetheart, Paul, and they have two children Austin (8) and Olivia (5). A job opportunity for Paul brought them to the metro Atlanta area. She was a stay at home mom before returning to work part time at St. Andrew UMC Preschool as a substitute and teaching assistant. Meet Mrs. Bagley

Mrs. Bagley is originally from Macon, Georgia. She has a degree in Child and Family Development from the University of Georgia. She has experience teaching special education students from the age of pre-kindergarten through middle school. Mrs. Bagley will server as our primary small group teacher. Mrs. Bagley is married to her college sweetheart and they have 2 children in Cobb schools. Mrs. Bagley loves to spend time with her family. She loves the outdoors and reading. Mrs. Bagley is thrilled to be a part of the Tritt family.

Meet Mercedes Touchstone

Mercedes Touchstone is a MID paraprofessional here at Tritt Elementary. She is a proud graduate of Pope High School and grew up here in East Cobb. She is currently working towards her degree in Special Education. This past year she worked as a paraprofessional at Murdock Elementary. She has a daughter in kindergarten at Tritt, and she is getting married this fall to her fiancee Jake.

Meet Amy Anderson

Amy Anderson is super excited about joining the Tritt Family after spending the last 6 years at home with her kids. She will serve as a part time Paraprofessional in Dr. Lauschey's pre-K class. Prior to staying at home, Amy taught Health & Physical Education in Fulton County for 9 years. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Health & Physical Education from Auburn University and a Master of Arts degree in Health Studies from University of Alabama. Amy and her husband, Nick have been married for 14 years. They have 3 beautiful daughter who are also Tritt students; Caroline (9), Annabeth (7) and Grace (5). Amy loves spending time outdoors, with her family, being crafty.

Meet Jennifer Blaske

Mrs. Blaske received her B.M. in Music Education from Berry College and taught in Fulton County until she had children of her own and got the crazy idea to home-school them all. Now that her kids are all either graduated or attending public school, she is ready to make her way back into the music classroom. When she's not teaching, she's often playing the piano for weddings or musical theater productions, doing Yoga or Pilates, watching Parks & Recreation, or working on her Disney World blog. Mrs. Blaske will be filling in for Mrs. Yunek through September break.

Meet Anna Freese

Mrs. Freese is one of the newest additions to the Tritt Tiger 4th grade team. She is a native of the county and has taught most of her 13 years in Cobb. Mrs. Freese is a graduate of Kennesaw State University and the University of Georgia. For the past four years she has been a student in the Educational Theory and Practice PhD program at UGA. Focusing much of her coursework on language and literacy education in the elementary setting, Mrs. Freese completed a year long research fellowship with the National Writing Project which culminated in a presentation at the annual Red Clay conference at UGA and publication. Meet Laura Gallinari

Ms. Gallinari joins our fourth grade team as a special education teacher. She has been teaching for 19 years in both public and parochial education. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from Temple University and later earned a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of South Carolina. Ms. Gallinari has taught general education in both elementary and middle school as well as interrelated special education. Ms. Gallinari loves to travel. One of her favorite destinations is Australia where she snorkeled in the Great Barrier Reef and flew in a hot air balloon over the Australian Outback. Wendy Corcoran has been a part of Tritt for the past 12 years, as a parent, a Kindergarten Parapro, and a substitute teacher. Mrs. Corcoran will now serve as a part-time insructional support paraprofessional. She grew up in SW Florida and the beach will always be her happy place! She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Flagler College and is a certified teacher for elementary grades. She taught for 7 years before becoming a stay at home mom for many years. She has been married to her high school sweetheart for 24 years and has two kids(Madalyn 17 & Ryan 15) that both attend Pope High School. Where’s the bus? Here’s All the info on How to Prepare Bus Riders for 2019-20 School Year

The bus is the safest way to get kids to and from school, and Cobb Schools is top in school bus safety. As evidence, the Cobb Schools Transportation Department recently won the highest transportation safety award in Georgia. Among the reasons, the Georgia Department of Education praised Cobb for creating student rider lists with photos of each student to support new drivers and substitute drivers. To focus on safety, the district uses the S.O.A.R. program with an emphasis on loading and unloading.
