STEAM Day!

Thank you to all the parents who spent time at Tritt this morning! We had a great turnout for our first Coffee with Carstens. We discussed how the school is building inclusivity and positive school culture, how our Superintendent's Priorities combine with the district initiatives to form our school strategic plan, the how and why of formative assessment, our STEAM journey, and even had time for open agenda questions! After that, all of our kindergarten, fourth, and fifth grade classes were open to visitors to see STEAM in action at Tritt! Our next STEAM showcase day for parents will be on March 13 for our 2st, 2nd, and 3rd grades. We hope to see you then!

Closed - Tuesday, January 29

Due to severe weather warnings from the National Weather Service, the Governor’s decision to close state offices and the expectation that the commute to/from our schools could be dangerous, the district has decided to close operations on Tuesday, January 29th. Given that our District serves more than 112,000 students and their families, as well as almost 20,000 staff members, and that the safety of our students and staff are paramount, we chose to act on the side of safety.

Congratulations to our outstanding Tigers who competed in district level competitions this weekend! Our school spelling bee champ finished in the top 8 and will continue on to the regional competition in February! Over at the Cobb Regional Technology Competition our #TechTigers also performed extremely well. We had five 1st place winners, two 2nd place winners, and three 3rd place winners! We are so proud of our #TigerFamily! Special thanks to Mrs. Pasqual and Mrs. Bates for getting our tech team ready and spending their Saturday at the competition!

January in Kindergarten

Is there anything more magical than January in kindergarten? Our K team has been working hard to teach literacy goals, and it all comes together with children lost in favorite story books. High fives to these great readers!

Hey Day!

We built inclusivity and a sense of belonging today!  All students and staff wore nametags and we practiced different ways to greet each other.  Thanks to our counselor, Mrs. Grindstaff, for her leadership on this project!

Our Tigers are #ArtSmart!

We have such talented students! Visit The Sewell Mill Library and Cultural Center (2051 Lower Roswell Road) for art from some of our students and other CCSD student artists. Work will be on display through January 31. Thank you to our art teacher, Mrs. McFerrin, for teaching our Tiger artists.
